1 dead, 1 injured in shooting at Flint bus stop

Police are looking for a green, teal or gray Town & Country Van in connection with the shooting.


Flint police have identified the man killed Monday afternoon at a bus stop on Flint's north side.

28-year-old Ali McZick was shot and killed just after 2 p.m. Monday.

19-year-old Tyrell Gaylor was also shot and remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

Flint police are looking for Daron Gaylor, Jr. in connection with the shooting,

All three men involved in the shooting are related

Authorities believe Gaylor shot the two men before driving off in a blue-gray or teal Town & Country Minivan.

Gaylor has been charged with four felonies- including first-degree murder and multiple weapons charges.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

One man is dead and one is injured after a shooting this afternoon on Flint's north side.

Police responded to the call around 3 p.m. for a shooting at a bus stop at the corner Welch Blvd. and Martin Luther King Ave.

According to authorities, the victims are both men in their 20's.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The other is in critical conditional at a local hospital.

Police believe the victim's and the shooter know each other, and stress this is not a random act.

"We are currently working along with the Michigan state police we also activated out area crime team which is a combination of police officers trying to locate the individual we suspect to be the shooter", says Flint Police Chief James Tolbert.

Authorities say the shooter is also a male in his 20's.
