      19th Annual Children's Champion Awards Breakfast

      A s pecial breakfast was held recognizing those doing good things in Genesee County.

      T he 19th Annual Children's Champion Awards took place Friday morning.

      The River Front Banquet Center was packed with non-profit agencies and individuals dedicated to helping others.

      Organizers say the goal of the annual breakfast is to celebrate champions in our community.

      A bout one-thousand people attended, i ncluding 95 students from area schools were recognized.

      " I t's just amazing to see these young people that have a passion for their community and a commitment for giving back . They are great students, good people and they really want to share what ever treasure talent that they have," said Amy Krug, Executive Director with Priority Children.

      T here were a record breaking 180 nominees rec og nized this year .
