2 students facing possible expulsion after making threats at Northeast Middle School

MIDLAND, Mich. --Northeast Middle School principal Dirk DeBoer says two students have been issued lengthy suspensions pending expulsion hearings after threatening to other students, according to an email sent home to parents.

The incident took place Monday.

DeBoer says the threats were verbal, and no weapons were involved.

Midland Police were contacted immediately and assisted the school in working through the incident.

“I do not take chances with the safety and security of the students and staff at Northeast Middle School,” said DeBoer.

He also urges parents with questions or concerns to call the school office at 989-923-5772.
