State police are investigating a woman's report that a man stopped to offer her roadside help, then abducted her 2-year-old son. The boy was found safe 12 hours later.
State police said Saturday that Jarren Jackson was found safe in Washtenaw County's Augusta Township, not far from where his mother reported him missing.
The isolated rural area is about 10 miles south of Ypsilanti.
MLive.com ( http://bit.ly/1bsFr32 ) says the woman reports her car broke down while she was driving her three children home.
She says the man took Jarren. Kimberly Williams is the boy's aunt and says she and other searchers found Jarren about 1 p.m. Saturday.
State police Lt. Mike McCormick says there are "still a lot of unanswered questions" about the disappearance.
