A baseball field dedicated to disabled kids is coming to Genesee County
Mundy Township —
It's really going to be not just a field of dreams but also of inspiration.
Mundy Township will transform a parcel of land on hill road between Fenton and Van Slyke Roads into a large recreational complex.
It will have multiple athletic fields and playgrounds including one designated for children with disabilities.
According to Brian Caine, Director of the Miracle League of Greater Flint, the field will create opportunities for all kids to participate in sports, disabled or not.
The league's goal is to raise two million dollars and that's for the building and upkeep of the field.
