A brief warm-up with snow to follow

This is how much snow we're currently thinking will fall across the NBC25 viewing area Saturday evening through Sunday night. Keep checking in with us as we might adjust this forecast as new model data comes in.

Strong southerly winds will bring in milder air tomorrow, but this "warm-up" will come at the expense of more snow.

Snow will initially develop ahead of a cold front tomorrow afternoon.

This front will only slowly struggle through Michigan on Saturday night and Sunday, while a big area of low pressure moves along this front from the south.

This low will bring a second wave of snow through the area -- and it could be very heavy in spots -- late Saturday night through Sunday night.
