A Taste of Autumn

A cold front came through this afternoon with some thunderstorms and much cooler air.

The cool air is already being felt across Mid-Michigan this evening, and lows will dip into the low 50s and even the middle to upper 40s in some spots by daybreak.

Tonight's forecast low of 53° in Flint is expected to be the coolest night we've had since June 19th when the mercury dropped to 45°.

An area of high pressure from Canada is responsible for the cool-down.

As this high shifts to our east on Friday, slightly warmer air will return to the area.

However, another cold front coming through late Friday night will bring a shot of cool air for the weekend.
