      A Taste of Autumn

A cold front came through this afternoon with some thunderstorms and much cooler air.

The cool air is already being felt across Mid-Michigan this evening, and lows will dip into the low 50s and even the middle to upper 40s in some spots by daybreak.

Tonight's forecast low of 53 in Flint is expected to be the coolest night we've had since June 19th when the mercury dropped to 45.

An area of high pressure from Canada is responsible for the cool-down.

As this high shifts to our east on Friday, slightly warmer air will return to the area.

However, another cold front coming through late Friday night will bring a shot of cool air for the weekend.
