A 72-year-old man is back on the road after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle.

Robert Leonard is back in good health after therapy, but his insurance did not cover a new bike, which is his only form of transportation.

Keith O'Neil of the Good Samaritan Network told NBC25, "The insurance wouldn't pay for his bike so a local business donated...he's pretty happy about it."

"it was a pleasant surprise...sure going to beat walking...gets me there a whole lot faster," said Leonard.

Leonard says riding his bike helps him keep his diabetes under control. ã??
