According to the Port Huron Times Herald, Derrick Holmon was found dead inside of a neighbor's car. Police believe the death was accidental and that the boy climbed into the hot vehicle. There, police believe believe the child was overwhelmed with the heat.
The child was found just before six yesterday evening, according to the Times Herald.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a five-year-old child down syndrome and a heart condition.
Derrick Holmon was last seen in Port Huron at 8:30 am near 26th and Manual Street, which is on the south side of town.
He was wearing a white swim shirt with teal swim shorts with orange flowers.
Holmon is 2' 6" tall, black with brown eyes, and 45 lbs. His hair is long and in a pony tail, so he could be mistaken for a girl.
