Ambulance was struck by bullet during Flint's first homicide of the year

Police now say that the ambulance that was struck with a bullet was driving near where the first homicide of the year took place.

It all started, police say, at the Z Club on Dort Highway at around 1:30 Saturday morning. There was an altercation, and then one car took off while another chased after it, firing at the first vehicle.

The first vehicle ended up at Hurley, where one man was pronounced dead. Another victim from the vehicle is listed as being in critical condition. No shots were fired on Hurley's property.

The ambulance that was struck with the bullet was heading to the hospital and transporting a patient for something unrelated to the homicide. No one in the ambulance was injured.

The police have no suspects at this time.
