Flu season is just around the corner.
The Saginaw County Department of Public Health is doing its part to help protect the public by offering flu shots for just $40.00.
Officials say they will offer the vaccine at scheduled clinics starting today, September 16, for anyone over six months of age.
The clinics accept cash, check, Medicaid, medicare, Blue Care Network, Priority Health, Health Plus and some Blue Cross/ Blue Shield insurance plans.
In order to minimize risk from the flu, health officials say people should wash their hands with soap and water, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue for coughs and sneezes, eat well and get plenty of rest.
