Back to the Bricks unveiling

Thousands turn out for the last day of Back to the Bricks.

Louis Chevrolet has finally arrived in Flint.

â??The North American automotive industry was born here in Flint and we have been remised in honoring it, said Chairman Al Hatch."

Thousands of car enthusiasts greet the life size bronze statue.. Celebrating the eighth year of Back to the Bricks.

"Louis Chevrolet one of the automotive pioneers who did so much work right here in Flint. Its great to see him up on South Saginaw Street so we can appreciate his legacy, said Flint Mayor Dayne Walling."

A legacy that gave Doug Healy a career and a passion for cars. His â??39 Oldsmobile coupe sat just around the corner from the unveiling.

"That was beautiful. It was nice, really something. Iâ??m glad they did that and I will be glad to see the next one come in when it does, said Healy."

Chevroletâ??s statue is one of eight pioneers to be honored according to Back to the Bricks chairman Al Hatch.. funds for more sculptures wonâ??t be hard to come by as the event continues to grow.
