Baker College has opened a second Culinary Institute of Michigan.
The second location started its fall quarter last month in Port Huron's waterfront area. It's about half the size of the first one, which opened in 2009 in Muskegon.
The Port Huron institute is part of a $24 million project to revitalize Port Huron's waterfront area. The project also includes a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel and restaurant. A conference center is expected to open in 2015.
Baker College of Muskegon President Lee Coggin says the Muskegon school now has about 550 students. Port Huron has about 50 students.
