The bank robbery suspect that lead police on a car and foot chase that ended with the police finding him dead has been identified.
He was 43-year-old Michael Willingham of Flint.
On Tuesday night the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office and the Bancroft Police Department were in pursuit of Willingham. Police had him as a suspect in a bank robbery in Meridian Township.
The chase went down I-69 to Grand River where police say Willingham lost control of the vehicle and went into the median.
Willingham then ran on foot into a wooded area west of Scribner Road and south of Grand River Road in Shiawassee Township.
Police tracked Willingham through the snow to a deer blind. At 10:30 pm the Michigan State Police Emergency Services Team was deployed. They found Willingham, apparently dead of suicide inside the deer blind.
