Barricaded gunman incident delays Flushing High/Middle Schools

Flushing High and Middle Schools were delayed Wednesday morning after Flushing Township police say a gunman was barricaded inside a home in the 5000 block of Deland Road.

Both the middle and high schools are located less than a mile from where the incident occurred.

Police tell NBC25 they were on the scene from 12a.m. until around 5:30a.m. when they arrested the gunman.

No shots were fired during the incident and no injuries were reported.

Flushing Middle and High Schools were operating on a two-hour delay Wednesday.
