Students at Bay City TMs Central High School started their week of classes with broken hearts as they mourned the losses of 2009 graduates Danette Decorte and Emilee Prime. The two died in a vehicle crash near M-20 and Five Mile Road in west Midland County Saturday night. Both were 19-years-old.

They were great people, said former classmate Jaimee Crites. It TMs just hard to say that they are gone. They had everything going for them, she added.

Decorte and Prime were active in basketball and volleyball, and are remembered as gifted athletes as well as kind human beings.

If you could pick two for a daughter, you TMd take both of them. You TMd get greedy and you would want both of them. That TMs the kind of girls they were, said Bay City Central Athletic Director Morley Fraser.

Grief counselors met with students when they arrived for classes on Monday. Administrators tell NBC25 Danette TMs younger sister, also a student at Central, attended classes despite the difficult emotional circumstances and was surrounded by her friends and school staff for comfort.

Meanwhile district officials say funeral arrangements are being made for the end of the week. An announcement will follow in the coming days.
