Bay City Mall to get improvements from new owners

The new owners and managers of the Bay City Mall toured the shopping center Friday bringing good news.

They say the mall is an excellent attraction that they believe can be even better.

They say they want to aggressively market the shopping center and provide more community outreach programs like mall-walking and school activities.

General Manager Barbara Behmlander says, "Some of the things we talked about in our meeting today is the ownership's commitment to spend up to $200,000 on immediate improvements over the next 60, 90, and 120 days depending on time frame."

Some of the $200,000 will go to improving the mall sign at State and Wilder, also updating the bathrooms, benches, trash cans, and paint.
