Bay County votes down discrimination ban
Wed, 12 Mar 2014 12:17:47 GMT —
Bay County Commissioners have voted down an ordinance that would ban discrimination against gay men and women.
The ordinance would have banned discrimination against gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexuals when it comes to county business.
It was defeated last night by a four-to-three vote.
The author of the legislation, commissioner Don Tilly, says it's likely commissioners will soon take up a discussion about potential policy changes around discrimination.
