For the first time this summer, we're expecting highs to reach or exceed 90° for three or more consecutive days in Flint.
It already happened yesterday and today, and will most likely do so tomorrow through Thursday.
In fact, it could happen on Friday as well.
This would give us six days in a row of 90° or hotter, which constitutes a heat wave in the eyes of most Mid-Michiganders.
Since the humidity is expected to be high enough on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons to produce heat indicies of 100° or higher in many locations, the NWS has issued a heat advisory for most of Mid-Michigan.
On Friday evening, a cold front will finally bring some relief from the heat with highs returning to more average levels over the weekend.
