Beware: Winter is coming!

Stocking up on safety supplies and making sure your vehicle is ready for winter emergencies is a step towards being winter-prepared.

Although a full-fledged winter storm is not in your 7-day forecast, there could be some snow showers on Thursday night.

Not enough to stick on the ground in most places, but enough to remind people that Winter is right around the corner!

In fact, Governor Snyder has declared this week Winter Hazards Awareness Week in Michigan.

Each day of the week focuses on a different aspect of winter weather preparedness.

Today's focus was on Winter weather safety tips for your automobile.

Tomorrow's is on Winter survival kits.

The chance of snow for Thursday night will be caused by cold air crossing Lake Michigan upon west/northwest winds.
