Boy, age 7, thrown from utility vehicle he was driving, injuries are life-threatening

A seven-year-old boy lost control of a John Deere Gator this morning and crashed into a tree, suffering life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The Michigan State Police are investigating the incident which took place at the Rolling Hills Golf Course in Cass City.

The boy's five-year-old brother was also riding the Gator but, while he was thrown from the utility vehicle, he was uninjured.

The five-year-old was able to drive the Gator and inform a family member of the crash.

The injured seven-year-old was flown to Hurley Hospital in Flint.
