Bridgeport police cruiser damaged after early morning chase

A Bridgeport Township Police cruiser is damaged after an early morning chase.
Police say it started around 1 a.m. on Hess Avenue in Saginaw, and ended on King Road in Bridgeport Township.
According to a press release, Michigan State Police Troopers attemped to stop the 31-year-old suspect for a traffic violation on Hess Ave. The pursuit continued through several neighborhoods before the driver intentionally rammed two partol cars. The driver was stopped after being hit on King Rd.
Two MSP Toopers were injured during the incidet. One was treated and released; the other did not seek medical attention.
The Saginaw Police Department, Bridgeport Township Police Department and Buena Vista Police Department all assited during the chase.
The suspected driver is being charged with fleeing and eluding, felonious assault and operating under the influence of drugs.
He is being held in the Saginaw County Jail.
