For Anuj Chand of Grand Blanc, waiting in line overnight for the iPhone 5, was no big deal. He did the same thing when the iPhone 4s came out. And the iPhone 4. He was the first in line at the AT&T store on South Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc. He says he arrived around 10:30 Thursday night.
Chand admits it was a little chilly overnight, but he came prepared with blankets, a chair and drinks. There were about 15 people in line when we stopped by during the 6 am broadcast of NBC 25 Today.
Apple says the new phone is thinner, longer and lighter than the iPhone 4s. It also uses a new adapter, which not everyone is happy about. Apple will likely sell gazillions of them, including one to Mr. Chand. What surprized him most about the overnight vigil? That there weren't MORE people in line.
