FLINT TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Students at Carman-Ainsworth High School let their voices be heard Tuesday morning during a mock election.

A team of seniors served as election inspectors processing voters and issuing ballots.

Freshman, sophomores and juniors were using the latest election technology to cast their votes.

The hope is it's not just the kids who learn from this lesson.

"This is the first time the kids are ever going to vote, but many of their parents have never voted. So, maybe what they can do is take today's lesson and go home and maybe tell their mom and dad and older siblings; go vote,” said Genesee County Clerk John Gleason.

The election division of Flint Township and the Genesee County Clerk's Office helped make this election as real as possible.

There was even a link on the county's website for election results.
