Celebrate the season in song at The Capitol Theatre

“A Classy Brassy Christmas & More: We Are One” will take the stage at Flint’s historic Capitol Theatre on Friday, December 8, 2017.

FLINT, Mich. – ELGA Credit Union, The Flint Institute of Music, The Whiting and NBC25-FOX66 television stations will unite to bring the community an FREE holiday concert event.

“A Classy Brassy Christmas & More: We Are One” will take the stage at Flint’s historic Capitol Theatre on Friday, December 8, 2017.

Performing treasured holiday music from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds, the concert features The Flint Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Quintet, Byrd Consort and Chamber Choir, along with special guest gospel choirs from New Jerusalem, Mt. Zion, and Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle churches.

The event will also feature cultural performances from Nrityanjali School Dancers and the Flint Jewish Federation’s Heartland Klezmorim.

Doors open to the public at 5:45 p.m.; concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase inside the Capitol Theatre.

FREE tickets (limit of 4 tickets per person) are available beginning at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 20 through The Whiting’s Box Office.

This is NBC25’s sixth annual presentation of “Classy Brassy.” The show will be hosted by NBC25-FOX66 anchors Bill Harris and Stephanie Parkinson.

A one-hour program will also be broadcast at the following times:
