Charges against Flint Twp. carjacking suspects to be announced Wednesday afternoon

The Genesee County Prosecutor's held a press conference at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon to announce the charges against the suspects in the carjacking and murder of 55-year old Leslie Mills.

31-year old Nancy Edna Johnson of Davison, 19-year old Matthew Riselay of Flint, 20-year old James Lee Horn of Flint, are all charged with felony murder, open murder, carjacking, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm.

21-year old Michael Mason Eason of Mt. Morris is charged with accessory after of the fact.

Authorties say Leslie Mills made a dying declartion on her way to the hospital. She told emergency responders that a man and woman shot her.

Mills was shot to death Sunday night around 9:00 p.m. The Grand Blanc woman was on her way home from work when she stopped to get gas at the Mobile One Stop Gas station on Corunna Road.

Investigators say the suspects shot Mills and took off with her car.

Mills was taken to hospital and died.

Her car was found a few hours later at the Economy Motel, which is less than two blocks from the gas station.

Flint Township arrested five suspects in connection to Mills death. Investigators say this was a planned attack. They say the suspects scoped the area looking for someone or a business to rob. Investigators say the suspects were looking for money to buy drugs.
