Community helps 1-year-old fighting rare cancer

Folks came together for a spaghetti benefit at the Cornerstone Baptist Church - Family Life Center on Miller Rd. in Swartz Creek today. They TMre working to raise money for a one-year-old girl fighting cancer.

Doctors diagnosed little Madison Lasley with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia in July. It is a rare form of blood cancer that kills most children who have it.

Doctors say a bone marrow transplant will give the Flint Township girl a greater chance at survival. Her parents are expecting their second child in October. They are hoping Madison TMs little brother will be a transplant match. If not, they have faith another donor will be able to help save her life.

Money raised will be used to fund her care. If you would like to follow Madison TMs progress or help with a donation, click here.
