Flint organizations are bringing young men together and challenging them to find role models.
The brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi and sisters of Phi Delta Kappa hosted a weekend "Brotherhood Summit" to help young men become responsible adults.
Speakers and role models from the community talked to youth at Flint Northwestern about achieving success despite circumstance.
"I think they can accomplish being more successful because there is always someone they can look to and they can go to when they run into situations that will be beneficial and helpful for them," said John Rhynes, mentor at the Brotherhood Summit.
The theme was "Building men that matter; helping young boys become responsible men."
Students in grades nine through 12 attended.
