Congressmen host round table to discuss keeping talent in Michigan
BAY CITY, Mich. – Michigan is home to some of the biggest companies in America.
It's also home to some great colleges and trade schools.
But, after college young professionals aren't sticking around.
Wednesday afternoon Congressmen Dan Kildee hosted a roundtable discussion on how to stop the "brain drain" and keep professionals of all ages in the mitten.
Students, educators and business leaders say it's not a quick fix.
"We need to do a better job, particularly in high school, with opportunities that are out there that can prepare them for a career in the trades,” said California Representative Eris Swalwell.
How do you think Michigan can retain more talent in the workforce?
