CPS High School evacuated after suspicious activity

Students at a Sanilac County high school were evacuated Wednesday as a precaution after school officials noticed a threatening note.

The Sanilac County Sheriff's office says officials at Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School found writing on a bathroom wall indicating "Somebody should blow the place up." Sheriffâ??s deputies were called to the scene to investigate.

Officials evacuated the building. Students were taken to Carsonville Elementary School and dismissed home from there.

Deputies brought in an explosives-specialized K-9 unit and found nothing suspicious after a sweep of the campus.

School will resume Thursday morning as scheduled.
