Crime Stoppers announces cash award in hunt for killer of young Flint father

A new reward is being offered to help solve the murder of a Flint man.

Jalen Lewis was killed in a drive-by shooting while visiting a friend last week at a home on Bundy Avenue near Dupont Street.

Yesterday, Crime Stoppers announced a $2,500 cash reward for any information that leads to the arrest in the murder of the 20-year-old Flint father of two young children.

Lewis' mother and sister are urging people to come forward to help solve this crime.

"I just want him brought to justice, him or whoever. I know that there are quite a few people that know who took my son away from me, and if they call their self a friend, a true friend, they need to come forward," said Maria Contreras, the mother of Jalen Lewis.

Anyone who has information about the drive-by shooting that killed Jalen Lewis is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

      You can remain anonymous.
