Deadline to get absentee ballot in City of Flint is this Saturday

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is fast approaching in the City of Flint.
May 4 is the last date that residents can request an absentee ballot so that they can vote in the 27th District Senate District Special Election.
That election will be held on May 7.
In order to work with those making the request at the last minute, the City Clerk's office will be open this Saturday from 8 am until 2 pm.
In order to qualify for an absentee ballot, voters must meet one of the following criteria:
The voter must be over 60 years of age.
The voter does not expect to be in town on election day.
If the voter is physically unable to attend the polls without assistance.
Religious beliefs prevent the voter from going on that day.
Those confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trial.
If you meet any of the above criteria and wish to get an absentee ballot application, then go to the City Clerk's office which is located on the second floor of City Hall, 1101 S. Saginaw Street.
