A fund raiser for a 22-month-old girl from Linden is successful. After being diagnosed with leukemia Phoebe Keech's family and friends are rallying behind her.
Dr. Bobby Grossi has opened his doors to the community before, this time his office is joining the fight for Phoebe too. Offing 50 percent off dental work and giving the proceeds of today's work towards phoebe's treatment.
"She??s her normal character before any of this started she's just a normal one and a half year old happy, her life revolves around her mom dad and family," said family member Lisa Stefani.
Phoebe's treatment is a three year process, with the first six months being the hardest. After being diagnosed in February her family is finding strength in support from people like Dr. Bobby Grossi.
"I know that one of my local community people are in need so they are closer to me they live in my area and my wife and I though why not? So that's what we are doing," said Dr. Bobby Grossi.
For Dr. Grossi helping others comes natural, last year he opened his office for free dental work for those without insurance.
For him, helping phoebe was a no brainer.
"having kids, knowing that it could happen to anybody and knowing that at some point I might be in need, hopefully the community steps up for me. I think it??s important as community leaders we step up and help out," Dr. Grossi.
After a busy day for Grossi and the fight for phoebe be on the lookout for new gear in support of what family calls one strong kid.
"Its great seeing all the people jump in and show their support when its family," said Stefani.
