Dozens of people kicked off Back to the Bricks with the inaugural American Muscle Motorway event Monday night.
The evening featured muscle cars from the '60s and '70s, live music and local restaurants sampling their coney island hot dogs and burgers.
The proceeds will benefit the Automotive Pioneers Statue Fund, a project dedicated to placing bronze statues of leaders of the automotive industry in Flint.
"This city has had some tough times, but it's got a glorious past and I think it's got a glorious future,?? Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy CEO Phil Hagerman said. "I think the statues remind us of both where we were and what the city will continue to be. There are great people in this community, and it's great to have those reminders of its great roots.??
NBC25 would like to thank Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, Elga Credit Union, FOX 103 and everyone who helped support the American Muscle Motorway.
