The Michigan State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash on US-10 East near the 7 Mile road overpass that has one person in the hospital.
MSP officials say that the Ford Ranger was heading east on US-10 in the right-hand lane. Witnesses told police that the Ranger went into the median of the highway and then rolled several times. One witness said that the truck went 8-feet into the air.
The driver, a 19-year-old resident of Auburn, was ejected and landed on the north shoulder of US-10. The driver was the only one in the truck.
Police say drugs and alcohol were not a factor, but that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver was taken to MidMichigan Hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit. Pending notification of family, police are not releasing the name of the driver.
