Driver shot, killed, in Flint while at intersection

Police were called to Flint's south end at about 1:15 this morning for a report of a shooting.

When police arrived, they say they found the driver of a Mustang slumped over the steering wheel at Fenton and 12th.

The windows on both sides of the vehicle had been shot out.

The driver was declared dead at the scene.

Police say they aren't sure if another driver shot him or if someone approached the vehicle.

Neighbors tell NBC25 there have been other acts of violence at that intersection in recent months.

Police have not yet released the identity of the victim. They also have not released any suspect information.

This is the city's second shooting in less than 24 hours, as another person was shot on the city's east side at about 3 in the afternoon on Thursday.
