Families Against Narcotics holds first meeting of year
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Families Against Narcotics or FAN held it's first meeting of the year Thursday at Delta College.
Judge Linda Davis was Thursday's guest speaker at the meeting.
Davis is founder and president of fan and also started the hope not handcuffs program.
The program has helped 800 people seek treatment since last February.
"It's a very complex issue and it has to do with law enforcement, the medical community, communities in general. And so, if we're not taking care of our citizens and providing them the help that they need, our communities aren't going to be well either," said Lori Ziolkowski, VP of the FAN Bay Great Lakes Bay Region chapter.
The FAN meeting's are held on the second Thursday of every month at Delta College.
