A Burton family is safe after escaping an early morning fire Sunday.
The fire broke out around 8:30a.m. on the 2,000 block of Jolson near Saginaw Street.
Fire officials say the fire started in the bedroom before quickly spreading through the home.
Several oxygen canisters inside the home exploded, fueling the fire.
The deputy fire chief says the husband carried his wife, who has several health issues, to safety.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
