'Ferris Wheel' business innovation center opens in downtown Flint
FLINT, Mich. - Monday was the grand opening of the Flint Ferris Wheel Innovation Center.
It's the only project of its kind in our area with a goal to bring new business ideas to town.
Ferris Wheel is located in downtown Flint, between Second and Third Streets, in the newly renovated Ferris Building.
The whole idea here, is it supports entrepreneurs at every step of the business cycle.
The project was spearheaded by Skypoint Ventures with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
"This is a place that is designed around the idea that no idea is too crazy to be considered, no idea is too impossible to be given a chance. We don't know how many of them will work, but we know that if we don't give them a shot, if we don't give them a chance, none of them will,” said Congressman Dan Kildee.
Governor Rick Snyder and Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley were among state and city officials at the grand opening.
