      FIA gets bigger and better

      T hursday the Flint Institute of Arts will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of a 2,400 -square-foot renovation and expansion of the art school.

      T he expansion includes doubling the ceramics program and a new 900-square-foot welding and fabrication area.

      T he Flint Institute of arts was founded in 1928.

      T oday, many believe it continues to play a major role in the growth and revitalization of the city of Flint

      T he ribbon cutting begins at 5:30pm at 1120 E. Kearsley Street, Flint.
