Fire forces residents out of Saginaw Township apartment complex on Christmas Eve

SAGINAW, Mich. -- Many people were forced out of their apartment and out into the snow Sunday night due to a fire at Fox Glen Apartment complex in Saginaw Township.

Saginaw Township Fire Chief Jim Peterson says they got the call around 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24. He says the fire started in a second level apartment in the kitchen and caused heavy damage.

There was also smoke and heat damage in the hallway and to the apartment above where the fire started. There were no injuries reported.

Resident Julie Kucher captured video of the fire reported at the Fox Glen Apartment complex, and Felicia Lace has photos from the scene too.

Chief Peterson says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
