Flint city council to resume monthly meetings, members' pay restored

The Flint City Council will resume monthly meetings for the first time since the state's new emergency manager law took effect last month.

Council President Scott Kincaid tells NBC25 that Emergency Manager Ed Kurtz also restored partial pay for Mayor Dayne Walling and council members. The mayor and council's pay was eliminated on March 28 when the new law went into effect. Kincaid said he's happy the council can meet again. The first meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 27.
