In an effort to ensure everyone in the city has access to fresh produce, the Flint Farmersâ?? Market will once again support two neighborhood markets this year.
The first site is at the corner of Atherton Road and S. Saginaw on the cityâ??s south side. It will be open Mondays from 3-7 p.m. The second market will be at St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center at 3115 Lawndale near Pasadena and Forest Hill on the cityâ??s north side.
Organizers say the neighborhood markets will accommodate residents who lack transportation and the elderly. The markets will feature neighborhood gardeners. In March, the Flint Farmersâ?? Market announced it will move downtown in the spring of 2014.
