OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. --A 28-year-old Flint man was arrested after trying to steal a car and then leading police on a foot chase, according to a press release from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Police were called to the Mobil Gas station located at 268 West Highland Road on Friday, December 29 as the man was trying to steal the car.

The man ran from police, running behind several businesses in the area, but was found by a deputy and his K9 hiding under some trees.

Deputies say the man was not completely coherent and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.

He was then taken to a local hospital for a blood draw.
