Summer reading is more than just a way to relax, it's a brain boost.
The Flint public library's "Dig Into Reading" summer program is attempting to draw kids in to local libraries in order to promote healthy summer reading habits.
Flint Mayor Dayne Walling lead the charge with storytime today.
Dinosaurs may be extinct, but they live on in these kids' minds, stomping away bad summer habits before classes resume in the fall.
"Dig into reading" not only promotes healthy minds through reading, but with fun and educational activities that all take place at your local library.
Schedules for events can be found on the Flint public library http://www.fpl.info/.
