Continued budget adjustments in the Flint school district is resulting in nearly two dozen more layoffs.
Flint Schools spokesperson, Bob Campbell, told NBC25 the board voted 7-1 Wednesday to lay off 21 staff members. About half of them are non-teaching staff members.
The board also recalled 50 teachers and an assistant principal, based on what Campbell said was a clearer picture of the financial outlook.
Some of those recalls were attributed to retiring teachers.
Earlier this month, 75 non-teaching staff were laid off, and in May, the board approved the layoffs of more than 130 teachers.
The district faces a $15.6 million deficit.
