The Flint school board voted to lay off dozens of staff and recall some teachers.
District spokesman Bob Campbell told NBC25 60 paraprofessionals and 15 non-teaching staff will receive pink slips. He said it's a part of the district's ongoing effort to right-size the district amid declining enrollment numbers. In the meantime, 13 Mott Adult High School teachers were recalled from the round of layoffs approved last month.
Flint Community Schools faces a $15.6 million deficit and has three years to eliminate it.
