Flint sorority makes history

Members of a Flint sorority are leaving their mark in Flinty, celebrating 100 years of existence with a "Back to the Bricks" ceremony.

The sisters of Delta Sigma Theta joined by Back to the Bricks chairman, Al Hatch, are remembering their roots and becoming the first fraternity or sorority to join the ranks of other Back to the Bricks donors.

They say Saturday's ceremony is serving as a reminder of the past and future.

"Today marks a celebration of 100 years of sisterhood and service. May the laying of this brick be a reminder of another hundred years of our committment to sisterhood and service," said Khalilah Majied of Delta Sigman Theta.
