      Flint Township police urgently seeking missing man with dementia

      Flint Township Police say 77-year-old Oather Allen Mcpherson has been found.

      Flint Township Police are expanding their search for a missing man who suffers from dementia.

      Monday afternoon police responded to the Home Depot on the 4300 block of Corunna Road for a report of a missing man.

      77-year-old Oather Allen Mcpherson was with his wife at the Home Depot. She stayed in the car and he was supposed to go into the store. Surveillance video shows he never went inside, and instead started walking westbound on Corunna Road.

      Flint Township Police say a passer-by picked Mcpherson up and dropped him off at the Genesee Valley Mall. He was then spotted at the McDonald??s at Miller and Elm. A manager at the McDonald??s told police Mcpherson said he was heading home to Swartz Creek. Police have now expanded their search area.

      Mcpherson is described as 5' 11" tall and weighing 240 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark polo shirt, blue jeans, a dark baseball hat and white Nike shoes.

      According to police Mcpherson has a hard time walking and has dementia.

      K-9 units along with the Michigan State Police Aviation Unit and the Flint Township Fire Department are all assisting the Flint Township Police Department in the search.

      He is 5' 11" tall and weighs 240 lbs. he was last seen wearing a dark polo shirt, blue jeans, a dark baseball hat and white Nike shoes.
