Flint woman reportedly killed in Syria

CNN has obtained this comment from a U.S. state department official:

We are aware of the case. As we do in all such cases, we are working through our Czech protecting power in Syria to obtain more information, and we appreciate the efforts of the Czech mission on behalf of our citizens. Because of privacy considerations, we are unable to comment further.

CNN is reporting that a Flint woman and two others were killed in Syria.

A drivers license for the woman, Nicole Mansfield, 33 years-of-age, shows her residence to be in Flint on Stevenson Street.

The Syrian news site, Syria Now, is reporting that the Flint woman and two others were caught throwing a grenade and were in possession of other weapons and a map of military positions.

Every report is saying that the people were killed at a military base located in the Syrian city of Idlib.

Another report says the other two killed were British.

Images reported to be the women and the drivers license of Mansfield have been posted online. The site is in Arabic.
